1. Notre-Dame de Compassion
Notre-Dame de Compassion is a building that was constructed in 1842 and opened its doors in 1843. The chapel was commissioned by Queen Marie Amelie to commemorate the tragic death of Prince Ferdinand-Philippe. Despite attempts to resuscitate the prince, he died in the presence of his family. The chapel was built on the site of the herbalist’s shop where the resuscitation took place. It is in a neo-Byzantine style with a Greek cross. Inside the chapel is a sculpture in a dying posture with an angel looking down on him. In 1964, the chapel was moved 150 meters due to the construction of the Palais de Congres. Since then, the chapel has found its place in the streetscape.
2. Parc Monceau

Allegedly, the park is named after the small village of Monceau that used to be here. The park used to be owned by Philippe d’Orléans, but during the Revolution, it was declared national property.
