Paris is home to several Christmas markets, sometimes as many as twenty, though it can vary from year to year. The markets range from large to very small, and some last only a few days while others stay open for several weeks. Wherever you go in Paris during the holidays, you’re sure to find one!
Opening hours vary from market to market. Most stalls sell food and drinks, regional products, hats, scarves, and other winter gifts. The atmosphere is always festive, though some markets have a bit of a fairground feel too.
Note: Christmas markets and stores may be closed on Christmas Day!

At the moment, the new dates for the Christmas markets in Paris for November and December 2026 have not yet been announced. Below you will find last year’s dates, which give a good indication of when the Christmas markets are likely to open in 2026. Of course, we will update this page with the confirmed dates as soon as more information becomes available.
1st arrondissement
Jardin des Tuileries Christmas Market
- November 15, 2025 – January 4, 2026
- Open every day from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. and until 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24 and 31, 2025
- Large Christmas market in central Paris with around 80 stalls, an ice rink, and funfair rides (including the Ferris wheel).
- Metro: Concorde, Tuileries
Westfield Forum des Halles Christmas Market
Starting early November 2025, the giant Christmas tree returns and the entire area is beautifully lit up. It’s not yet confirmed if there will be a market this year.

Place de l’Hôtel-de-Ville Christmas Market

- A famous, atmospheric market located on the large square in front of Paris City Hall.

Marché de Noël Place Saint-Michel

- Small but well-known market near the famous Saint-Michel Fountain and close to Notre Dame. Features crafts and regional food.

- November 28 – December 25, 2025
- Open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and until 9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Live music starts every day at 4 p.m.

- Market focused on fine food and artisanal craftsmanship.

La Villette Christmas Market
- November 20, 2025 – December 28, 2025
- A new large Swiss-inspired market with more than 100 stalls.

Just outside Paris
La Défense Christmas Market
- November 13 – December 28, 2025
- Open Monday to Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Thursday until 10 p.m., Friday until 11 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday until 8:30 p.m. Closed on December 25. Closes early at 6 p.m. on December 24.
- Held on the square by the Grande Arche de La Défense, covering 7,500 m2.
- Metro: Esplanade de la Défense
Boulogne-Billancourt Christmas Market
Boulogne-Billancourt borders Paris, close to Roland Garros and Parc des Princes Stadium, and it is also home to the Kretz family, the famous real estate family from the Netflix series.
- November 26 – December 24, 2025
- Open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (on December 24, open until 6:00 p.m.)
- A small and peaceful Christmas market with plenty of food stalls. It’s a market mainly visited by locals.
