Paris is home to several Christmas markets, sometimes as many as twenty, though it can vary from year to year. The markets range from large to very small, and some last only a few days while others stay open for several weeks. Wherever you go in Paris during the holidays, you’re sure to find one!
Opening hours vary from market to market. Most stalls sell food and drinks, regional products, hats, scarves, and other winter gifts. The atmosphere is always festive, though some markets have a bit of a fairground feel too.
Note: Christmas markets and stores may be closed on Christmas Day!

The first dates for the 2026 Christmas markets in Paris have now been announced, and you’ll find the confirmed dates below. We have also included estimated dates for several other Christmas markets, based on last year’s schedules. These dates have not yet been confirmed, and we clearly indicate which dates are still provisional for each market. We will continue to update this page as soon as more official information becomes available.
1st arrondissement
Jardin des Tuileries Christmas Market
- Expected to run from Saturday, November 14, 2026, through Sunday, January 3, 2027 (please note: these dates have not yet been confirmed)
(last year: Saturday, November 15, 2025, through Sunday, January 4, 2026) - A large Christmas market in central Paris with a wide variety of rides, attractions, and stalls, including plenty of food stands, an ice-skating rink, and a large fairground with a Ferris wheel. It is extremely popular and highly recommended, especially for families with children.

Westfield Forum des Halles Christmas Market
Starting early November 2026, the giant Christmas tree returns and the entire area is beautifully lit up. It’s not yet confirmed if there will be a market this year.

Place de l’Hôtel-de-Ville Christmas Market
- Expected to run from December 4, 2026, through January 3, 2027 (please note: these dates have not yet been confirmed)
(last year: Friday, December 5, 2025, through Sunday, January 4, 2026) - A famous, small, yet charming Christmas market held on the large square in front of Paris City Hall.
- Easy to combine with a visit to the Notre-Dame Christmas market in the 5th arrondissement.
5th arrondissement
Marché de Noël Place Saint-Michel
- Expected to run from December 4, 2026, through January 3, 2027 (please note: these dates have not yet been confirmed)
(last year: Friday, December 5, 2025, through Sunday, January 4, 2026) - A well-known Christmas market, though not a very large one, near the famous Saint-Michel Fountain and within walking distance of Notre-Dame Cathedral. It features a variety of handmade crafts and regional food specialties.

Square Viviani – Notre Dame Christmas Market
- November 26 through December 27, 2026
- Open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and until 9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Live music starting at 4:00 p.m.

Saint-Germain-des-Prés Christmas Market
- Expected to run from November 24, 2026, through January 1, 2027 (please note: these dates have not yet been confirmed)
(last year: Tuesday, November 25, 2025, through Thursday, January 1, 2026) - A small Christmas market focused on gourmet food and traditional craftsmanship.
- It often opens later in the day.

Christmas Market near the Eiffel Tower
- Expected to run from December 5, 2026, through January 3, 2027 (please note: these dates have not yet been confirmed)

Gare de l’Est Christmas Market

Christmas Market at Place Richard Baret

Swedish Christmas Market at the Swedish Church

Montmartre Christmas Market – Place des Abbesses
- Expected to run from November 20, 2026, through January 3, 2027 (these dates have not yet been confirmed)
(last year: Friday, November 21, 2025, through Sunday, January 4, 2026) - A smaller Christmas market with around 15 to 20 stalls. It has a unique atmosphere and is located close to Sacré-Cœur.

La Villette Christmas Market
- Expected to run from November 19 through December 27, 2026 (please note: these dates have not yet been confirmed, and it has not yet been announced whether the market will return)

La Défense Christmas Market

- Open Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday until 11 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. Closed on December 25. Closes early at 6 p.m. on December 24
- Held on the square by the Grande Arche de La Défense, covering 7,500 m2.

Boulogne-Billancourt Christmas Market
Boulogne-Billancourt borders Paris, close to Roland Garros and Parc des Princes Stadium, and it is also home to the Kretz family, the famous real estate family from the Netflix series.

- Open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (on December 24, open until 6:00 p.m.)
- A small and peaceful Christmas market with plenty of food stalls. It’s a market mainly visited by locals.
