Below you’ll find a selection of good apartments in Paris that are perfect for renting, for example, for a week.
First, let’s briefly discuss what to consider when renting an apartment for a certain period in Paris:
Renting an Apartment in Paris?
The advantage of an apartment is that you have more seating than in a hotel room, you can prepare your own meals in the apartment’s kitchen, and you often live ‘among the Parisians’. Also, you can often bring your dog here.
A disadvantage is that you usually pay a part of the rent in advance, but the rest must be paid in cash (not with a credit card) upon arrival. You often also pay the cleaning costs (30-50 euros) in cash. Furthermore, upon arrival, you pay a cash deposit of an average of 200-300 euros, which you get back upon departure. This can be inconvenient in this age of credit cards and online banking.
An apartment in Paris is not necessarily cheaper than a comparable hotel, except if you are with several people. But what does save money is that you don’t have to eat all meals outside. You can cook for yourself and shop at nearby stores. This is especially advantageous for families.
Pay close attention to the descriptions and photos on the website. They are taken with a wide-angle camera, so you can’t see how big they are. If there are no photos, or unclear or few photos, look for another apartment. Pay attention to whether the number of chairs is sufficient for your travel party. And for those who don’t want to climb stairs: check if there is an elevator! You shouldn’t have any illusions about the size of the elevator: often only 2 people can fit in. And is there a phone number you can call if something goes wrong?
Below you’ll find some good apartments and studios to rent in Paris:
Aparthotel Paris Montmartre
Don’t think we’ve secretly placed a hotel here. This is really a nice address with apartments and studios. You can comfortably stay here for a week because you also have your own little kitchenette with dishwasher, and the area, the artists’ quarter, is very popular. Moreover, you are close to all the sights in Paris. There are several metro stations within 300 meters.
In this neighborhood, you’ll find numerous restaurants where you can enjoy French cuisine. Many students live in this neighborhood, and it is popular with tourists. So it’s lively. However, the apartments are located in a dead-end street, so it’s quiet for sleeping.
The apartments are relatively simple, but equipped with all comforts and neat. There is free WiFi and you can order breakfast if you like. There is also a courtyard. And what can be handy, there is a 24-hour reception. In February/March, you pay about 1000 euros for a week for a studio for 2 people (2019). Because of the location and facilities, these apartments are also very suitable for families with small children.

As you can see in the photo, it’s a cozy apartment. There is a sun terrace and a fully equipped kitchen. Due to its location, these apartments are incredibly popular and therefore quickly booked up.
